Inside the Living Archive Series
Why I spend my nights restoring American newspapers nobody was supposed to read again.

Paper remembers
The Living Archive Series began with a box of brittle newsprint and a simple question: who decided this should disappear?
Every restored page is a witness statement. Advertisements, obituaries, church notices — the ordinary record of extraordinary survival.
What restoration involves
- Sourcing fragile originals and stabilising them.
- Correcting scan artefacts without rewriting the text.
- Publishing with context, not commentary.
History is not what happened. It is what was kept. We are in the business of keeping.
